This is my next entry for Temple of the Dog's monthly fanart contest. Sweet, but very naughty Miroku. My main thought when I came up with the concept of this piece was "Why would Miroku become a priest?" Well, outside of a family history, I thought it would have to be the throngs of hot, scantily-clad priestesses. Same reason why he might take Home Ec if he were around in modern times.

His clothing is strongly modelled after actual Egyptian priest clothing, except for a modification to how he wears his leopard skin (I thought it would be quite tragic if I covered up his chest and abs). His pose was also modelled after an excellent piece of artwork I found of Anubis holding a staff... I could only think of Miroku when I found it by accident months ago.

This picture placed 1st in the TotD contest for the month of June. Thanks to all who voted for it :D

This picture also placed 1st in the AU Artwork category in the Feudal Association's August 2006 fanart/fanfic contest.

Wow, those are some sexy priestesses. Would the one behind with the green happen to be Sango? She looks like her, but has green eyes (I have seen color manga pictures with Sango having green eyes though, and some of them do have different color eyes in the manga). Heck, they all look like Sango to some degree.

Yeah, they all resemble her actually, because they're modelled after her to a degree. Her haircut is pretty close to cleopatra-style, so I used her as a reference. Fitting though :D

Sango as well as Abi-Hime (and Kaguya-Hime if you want to count her since the movies are not in the actual plot) are probably the most beautiful in the series as well.

I'll admit that I think Sango is far prettier than Kagome or Kikyou. Miroku has got a good eye ;)
